Phantom Wines

Rooted in our family’s Scottish heritage, Phantom Wines takes its name from the ancient Gaelic legend of the “Bogle” – a mysterious spirit said to haunt the twilight. Our wines are born from that same sense of mystery, and a profound reverence for both quality and the land we’ve tended for six generations.

We’d handpick Chardonnay from our Home Ranch Vineyards in Clarksburg, where cool evening air and Delta fog seem to carry whispers of the past. Our Proprietary Red blend showcases Petite Sirah – the first grape our family planted in 1968, marking the beginning of the Clarksburg appellation. Each vine and cluster of fruit bears the quiet imprint of our family’s legacy.

To us, the Phantom is not a single apparition, but an ever-present spirit – a reminder that great wine lives in the space between science and art, precision and intuition. It’s here that the story of Phantom unfolds: a tale of legacy, mystery, and the beauty found just beyond sight.

Ghost Story Writing Contest

We have invited storytellers to bring their own phantoms to life through our Ghost Story Writing Contest. Inspired by the same mysteries that stir within every bottle of Phantom wine, this tradition celebrates imagination, legacy, and the art of a well-told tale.

The winning story is brought from page to screen – transformed into a short film and featured at the Austin Film Festival, where its haunting voice joins the chorus of storytellers past and present.
